Choosing your shift starting location and ride

At Lieferando, there are various ways you can go about working.  First, you need to decide where you'd like to start your shift (either from a Lieferando Hub or remotely). This also depends on the type of vehicle you'll be using for deliveries. Below, you'll find more information on whether you can start from a Lieferando Hub or a remote location.

Starting at a Hub or Remotely - The choice is yours!

In addition to starting from a remote location of your choice, Lieferando drivers in some cities in Austria also have the option to start from a Lieferando Hub. Each starting point has its own advantages. The decision on where to start depends on what is available in your delivery area.

What is a Lieferando Hub?

Our Hubs are usually located in city centres and are specifically designed for Lieferando couriers. Here, couriers can start their shifts, get any necessary equipment, enjoy a warm drink with colleagues, and receive support from other Lieferando team members and Hub coordinators.

Hub and Remote options

Depending on the city, we offer you hub or remote start options:

  • We have hub cities, here you can start your shift in the hub and you will be a hub driver. If you own your own vehicle, you can also start as a remote driver at one of our starting points in the city center - the choice is yours!

  • We have remote cities, in these cities we don't have a hub. This means that if you work in this city, you are automatically a remote driver.

How can I find out if my city is Hub or Remote?

The easiest way to find out if your city has a Hub or is a remote city is to check which vehicle types are available when you sign up. If you need to use your own vehicle, this means the city is a remote city. If you have the option to choose between your own vehicle and a Lieferando vehicle, then you can either start at the Lieferando Hub or remotely. If in doubt, feel free to ask our helpful recruiters!
