How do contracts work at Lieferando?

Our goal is to ensure you make the most of your time as a Lieferando courier, and that you’re suitable for the job. That’s why we work with actual employment contracts, rather than hiring people as freelancers. Having a proper contract is important - for you and for us.

Before we dive into the different contract types, let's take a look at how our courier contracts work:

  • To work with us, you must be 18 years or older. If you’re not 18 yet, we hope you’ll apply once you reach adulthood.

  • We offer various types of contracts, including full-time, part-time, and mini-job (marginal employment). We’ll discuss which contract suits you best during the hiring process.

  • All of our contracts include a probation period. This ensures that both you and we are satisfied with the job.

When will I get a permanent contract?

After a 1-month trial period, you will receive a 4-month contract from us.

During your 1 month trial period:

Once you receive a fixed-term contract, the following applies:

> Immediate notice period

> 4 weeks notice period until the 15th or the end of the month

What is a contract type?

The contract type determines how many hours you’re expected to work within a given time period. While we try to accommodate personal preferences as much as possible, the contract type depends on the available hours.

Which documents do I need to submit?

In order to get started as a courier, you need to submit the following documents:

  • A copy of your passport or ID card

  • A copy of your (work) visa or residence permit (for non-EU citizens)

  • A registration certificate (Meldezettel)

  • E-card (health insurance card)

We’ll also need some basic personal information to set up the contract, such as your name, home address and date of birth.

I already have a job, can I still work with you?

If you already have a job, you might still be able to work with us, depending on how many hours you’re currently working. For example, if you have a full-time or part-time job, you can still get a mini-job contract with us. Our recruiters are happy to help you figure out which contract suits you best!

I am a student, do you offer jobs for me too?

Yes! We’re happy to offer students a part-time or mini-job contract.
